Global Consulting group ChainSequence, Inc., a leading specialist in Supply Chain Planning Consulting and Sales & Operations Planning Consulting (S&OP), is commemorating its seven-year anniversary of successful business process improvements for a wide range of organizations since launching the organization in 2009.

President Bill Mrzlak disclosed that while the firm continues to grow and expand its footprint in the industry, the anniversary has been bittersweet. He and co-founder Mike Morrissette have actually been spreading the gospel of Supply Chain together since 1995: “As we celebrate our seven-year anniversary, we’re also saddened by the passing of our co-founder Mike Morrissette. Mike was instrumental in launching ChainSequence and always provided a pragmatic approach to driving internal operations as well as defining solutions to our clients. Mike will always be remembered within ChainSequence and by the many clients that he so successfully helped over the many years.”

ChainSequence’s singular focus over the years has involved working hand-in-hand with client teams to strategize, develop, and implement forward-thinking improvements to Supply Chain and S&OP processes.

“Let’s face it, we’re geeky supply chain evangelicals from way back,” Mrzlak joked. “However, our team is passionate about what we do, and we know our work has impact because we continue to maintain very rewarding relationships with our clients long after the work is finished. Their success is our success, and we remain very grateful for the confidence they have in our work.”

Mrzlak said clients have told him that what really sets ChainSequence apart from other management consultants is its knowledge-share philosophy: “Our service model delivers game-changing guidance by teaching client teams to successfully pivot from outdated processes and incorporate best-practice solutions that improve the integral relationship between their Supply Chains and their S&OP efforts.”

Moving forward into the next seven years, Mrzlak said ChainSequence continues to go after opportunities that help diverse organizations from various industry sectors develop significantly nimbler business processes that can better respond to fluctuating market drivers and more accurately align complex supply chains with customer demand. He added, “While Supply Chain advancements in technology and planning tools have allowed us to optimize our original models and gain faster ROI over time, we always make it clear to our customers that Supply Chain Planning and S&OP Planning improvements are still inherently bound by proven, rules-based business process logic and leadership that is committed to change management.”

The firm also is known for providing in-house education and assessments for organizations that are considering ways to improve their business processes but haven’t yet made the leap of faith. Mrzlak stressed, “We always take the time to interview key stakeholders before these sessions to develop a clear understanding of what’s going on that’s blocking peak performance, from both an operational and a process standpoint. Then we use these unique challenges as examples to provide some enlightenment to our clients, helping them build a customized, practical business case to achieve a more cost-effective path forward to growth and success.”
